EDA has complete capability to take a concept, create a detailed design, and develop prototype hardware ready for production release. Specifically , EDA’s product design & development capabilities include:
- Development of product concepts, product specifications, product renderings and mockups.
- Broad experience with microprocessors, DSP, FPGA, analog & digital circuit designs (ORCAD Schematic Capture/CIS).
- Expert in-house PCB layout (PowerPCB) capability with experience meeting EMI, UL and many other design requirements. .
- 2D (Autocad) and 3D (SolidWorks) industrial design of product packaging ands development of detailed custom mechanical component fabrication drawings.
- Fabrication of through hole or surface-mount PCB assemblies
- Mechanical case and component prototyping using CNC and rapid prototype techniques such as stereolithography (SLA)
- Acquisition of all prototype components and specialized materials required
- Complete In-house prototype assembly test and debug capability including EMI confidence testing.
- Product documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, PCB Gerber files, bill of material, mechanical component fabrication drawings, assembly procedures, assembly drawings, and acceptance test procedures.
- Development of qualification test procedures support of environmental testing, FCC testing, and UL testing..
- Development of assembly procedures, test procedures and test equipment definition and design and fabrication.
- Set up of PCB assembly houses for pre-production build, soft tooling of mechanical components, assembly and test of units.
- Fabrication and test of small production lots.
